As a teacher, I am having to hold the attention of young minds, who are constantly gaming in their heads. I only have 10 minutes to teach a new skill before I have lost their interest. There are so many great programs that my school has purchased to help me teach and reinforce new skills by using an iPad. My problem? I only have 10 iPads for a class of 22, so it makes things more difficult. I use iPads in creative and learning stations as well, but I'm limited because of the number of iPads I have.
By having more iPads, we can learn together! There are programs that teach, with my ability to control the pace and watch the results. I get immediate feedback on who knows what and know one is having to raise their hand. Everyone is forced to show me if they understand the concept or not without being embarrassed by their peers.
