Through the use of these mentor texts students will have concrete examples of the many different types of writing genres. It would be amazing to have these titles in our classroom library ready to use for our lessons. Many of the books listed are difficult to find at the public and school libraries and it would benefit my students greatly to have instant access to these titles. As we enjoy these amazing stories together it is my hope that the author's voice and skill will provide connections and examples that can aid in the understanding and application of these basic writing skills.

About my class
