In response to the Black Lives Matter movement, it is essential that we provide more representation of our black students and students of color in our classroom. The best place to start is in our books, so students can see themselves represented through stories that are found in our classroom. These books help to teach anti-racism and inclusion to even our youngest learners, with the hopes that they will take these lessons with them and continue to fight for a more inclusive world as they grow and experience the world around them.
