Many of my students are lacking basic schools supplies in the home. I have added mini-journals, planning stickers as well as pens and pencils--all necessary tools needed to develop their thinking. The items on my list are both novelty as well as tools that they would be able to continually use during remote learning.
Not only is education important, but feeding their creativity, motivating them positively and giving them the recognition needed will help our students to continue to succeed. To show them our appreciation and dedication to their hard work during this transition is important for encouragement and continuing that connection and rapport with families.
