These books will allow my students to feel represented in my classroom library. They will be allowed to read them, share them, and discuss them. Not only will this allow for a variety of books from which to choose, but theze books will also provide diverse topics and themes that the students will enjoy. They include books with characters of all races, cultures, socio-economic statuses, mental and physical abilities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. I want to expose students to diversity so that they can be more accepting of those around them.
