When our school shut down last March due to the Coronavirus, I noticed that my students were struggling with remote learning. They missed the interactions with their classmates and the ability to show their work to one another.
I started using the free version of Nearpod - an interactive slide show tool that engages students and promotes collaboration - in our lessons and my students immediately fell in love. They became super engaged in each lesson - excited to show their work to their classmates, collaborate with one another and answer interactive questions.
Unfortunately, as I created more lessons on Nearpod, I quickly started to run out of space. With a platinum membership, I will have enough space to create all of the interactive Nearpod lessons I'll need for this year.
With this access, my students will be able to interact with the lessons whether they are at home learning remotely, or in the classroom on in-person days. It will give them the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates, whether they are 6 feet or 6 blocks apart.
