Distance learning has removed the most crucial part of learning for our littlest students - hands-on manipulatives! With too much screen time and very little play, my students are unable to have the same effective AUTHENTIC learning experiences that they deserve!
Help me give my students the HANDS-ON learning tools they require to have an authentic learning experience both at home and at school. My students will use the Base-Ten learning blocks to develop their number sense and knowledge of place value. They are in need of the ten frame kit to practice parts of ten, addition, and subtraction skills that they will need for the rest of their lives. In our classroom, my students are used to regularly using letter tiles to build words. This helps them build phonemic awareness, decoding, and spelling skills that are foundational to their later reading abilities. The Neon bins (and pencil pouches) will be a catch-all for their school supplies when they are at home. Depending on the structure of the school year, it might also get to be used as a back and forth bin to and from school for their individual supplies! The bins are durable and will brighten their learning routines at home.
Last but not least, I am asking for a $100 TpT gift card to assist me in purchasing distance-learning materials compatible with Google Classroom and Seesaw from Just a Primary Girl and Michelle Hudgeons (two experienced educators and authors on TpT). My students thrive with the products I have already purchased on my own, and I want to continue to give them engaging online materials throughout the school year. TpT products easily adds up, and this $100 gift card would cover distance learning materials for the rest of the year for my class.
