My district has been remote since March 13, 2020 and we will continue with remote learning until the end of the school year. To say it's been a difficult year is an understatement. We are all missing each other, learning in person, and books. In March, we thought we'd be out for 2 weeks and then return for the rest of the year. And here we are a year later! That means, my students have not checked out a book in over one calendar year!
This project is designed to get a variety of text rich, diverse books out to all of the students in both of my school libraries they'd be able to keep and start building their own at home libraries. One building is K-6 and the other is grades 6-8. Building up a home library is one way to develop and foster a love of reading.
Thank you in advance for your support!
