It's extremely versatile to have Scholastic Action Magazines subscriptions in the classroom. They are school and age appropriate. They help build my students ESL language multifaceted skills and knowledge of content and current events. I would be able to use the quality magazine issues and online resources for independent reading stations, guided reading, small groups, whole class instruction, vocabulary acquisition practices, writing, and so much more. Due to COVID-19, e-learning, and budget limitations, I currently have no means to get these magazine subscriptions that are crucial for my English Language Learners and Special Education Students. With these magazine subscriptions, my students would be able to improve their reading interest and engagement. They would be given a variety of article choices that would allow them to read at their own pace, gain more independence, and world knowledge to be better citizens beyond the classroom. By donating, you will not only help increase student choice, attention, and focus, you will ultimately contribute to closing reading gaps and help improve academic achievement.
