Flexible seating gives students responsibility and ownership when making choices. Having a place where you feel comfortable and safe while concentrating on a task is very important in order to be successful at it. Imagine working eight hours sitting in the same seat all day (and repeating it five times per week). This is why flexible seating in my classroom has become so important! I have seen how each student’s work improves when allowing them to choose where to work.
During independent work time, students will have the opportunity to stay in their desk or choose a place in the classroom that they think will work best for them; We are meeting the NEEDS of ALL STUDENTS!
They are more concentrated, diligent, and productive when they are given the choice of where they work. The items that I have selected will allow me to expand the flexible seating options in my classroom, which means that more students will be able to choose where to work at a time, and gives them more options when it is time to make their choice.
Thank you so much in advance for your donation!
