As we transition from hybrid to in-person learning, my class is in need of extra supplies in order to fulfill our need and love for creativity. Every day, my students are drawn to building and constantly choose blocks or legos to foster their creativity. As we merge from 9 students a day to 15 students, our class community will no longer have enough materials for everybody to have their own. Due to the pandemic, we cannot share materials. If each student has their own bin of legos, they will be able to save their projects, continue working on them, or create something new every day. These materials would be used daily for STEM activities, math, recess, and centers! Our class craves hands on activities as they build their dream houses, skyscrapers, bedrooms, and endless structures with legos and blocks. Despite being six feet with a mask covering their smiles, my students are thrilled to share their creations with one another. Even our littlest learners have been greatly impacted and building with blocks and legos brings us back to a moment of normalcy! These little engineers are constantly proud of what they create!
