Our diverse students will research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS, then compete on a table-top playing field. The brand new Triton Robotics program will allow underserved students at our academy to develop the necessary STEM skills to analyze a problem, creatively engineer a solution, construct a viable LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robot to solve the problem, and finally to test their solution and robot in a series of missions. We will also introduce robotics to our little Tritons with a WeDo robotics set. The theme for 2020 is Game Changers.
About my class
