As a reading and writing teacher, it is so important for my classroom to be filled with multiple copies of high-interest books. I will use the books donated to form book clubs. Nothing gets a student more excited about reading than a club to share ideas with. Students grow so much as readers when they share their ideas with each other.
Book clubs allow students to grow as readers and writers. They get learners excited about reading and inspires them to commit fully to completing books. They get to explore characters, themes, and social issues with classmates. There is nothing more rewarding as a reading teacher than to listen to students excitedly growing their ideas about a book. That is what is created in book clubs.
