During this time of uncertainty, I want my students to remember how important they are and how we are all different. I want our classroom to be a place where we celebrate and work on accepting each other for who we are.
Students see what is happening in the world and they need help to process it all. I want them to hear/see stories with people who look like them.
We will be using these stories in Zoom read aloud and discussions in our social studies and morning meetings. Students will have time to reflect, talk in groups, and write in a journal to express their feelings.
