In order to create an authentic and exciting library for all of my students; it is crucial for them to be able to see themselves in stories. Students, with their diverse backgrounds, need to be represented in non-fiction stories. Students should also have the opportunity to experience and be exposed to other cultures. It is important to have equitable representation in our library just as we do in our classroom.
Adding these titles to our class library, will allow them to be actively engaged and inspired when listening to or exploring new materials.
