The items for this project will go to rebuilding my classroom library. My students love to read and look at books. They enjoy retelling stories and sharing their favorite parts with their friends. I would like to create a classroom library for my students.
I am asking for different types of books that my students enjoy. I've taken an interest inventory and based the books on what they like. They love books about bugs, princesses, farm animals, and dump trucks. Each child is so unique, and I wanted to make sure each one had a few books that interests them.
Also, I am asking for carts and containers to store the books. I would like for the books to be sorted by topics. This will help the students in selecting the books they like most.
A few of my students lost everything including their homes. I would like to have enough books for them take books home to read with their families.
