Interactive materials allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they can show me where they are at in their learning. My students like to work in a variety of locations in school such as: at different tables, at desks, or tables in the hallway outside of our classroom. Making sure students have the materials they need is an essential component in motivating them to learn. I notice amazing differences in my students engagement when they are given different materials to use.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and are understanding new content much better when they are given alternative materials to learn with.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional options to make more effective learning choices. The whiteboard dots allow for students to communicate and work together, the graphs allow me to help students understand linear functions and the headphones with built-in microphones allow them to show me their learning in different ways. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to do something other than listening and will in return gain a greater understanding . These materials can be used whether we are in the classroom or learning from home or both!!
I have seen how new learning materials affect my students work and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
