I feel like you are never too old to have a book read to you. I have chosen several book titles that I feel teach lessons that are very important. They include teaching manners, inclusivity, making good choices, making others feel special and modeling good behavior. These lessons must be introduced in the first few weeks of school and continuously modeled throughout the school year. I have also chosen a carpet on which I would like my students to gather for story time. I plan to use the "Teachers Pay Teachers" gift cards to purchase lessons that coincide with the books I will be sharing with my students and will be used throughout the school year.
