Because my students represent various learning styles, my lessons have to be auditory, tactile, visual with some kinesthetic (movement) opportunities so that I can help meet their academic needs. They thrive on using technology to practice basic reading and math skills.
An iPad offers my students three ways to practice their academic skills: visual, auditory, and tactile. With the appropriate apps, my students' instruction becomes individualized and their academic needs are met. Also, limited verbal students can learn to express themselves using technology especially during play time with their friends.
