I would like to gather books that show characters of different ethnicities, cultures, and walks of life in order to give my students a rich understanding of both themselves and the world around them. These books will help us hold discussions about race, gender inequality, and more.  These books will help me start conversations with my students and create an inclusive learning environment that affirms and celebrates my students' various identities.  The books you help fund will be an integral part of our classroom library for years to come, available for future students.

About my class
