A Fairy Tales STEAM Kit would be a dream come true for my Kindergarten students. Every year, my little learners practice reading and retelling these beloved stories with paper puppets, popsicle sticks and a few props to be the characters in 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears.' The characters of the Troll from 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' and the Wolf from 'The Three Little Pigs' are popular with my students too. They love to retell these classic stories to their friends and families. With a Fairy Tales STEAM Kit, my students could use puppets to express themselves as well as develop important literary skills. The Story Wands will help them refer to the text in the hardcover books so they may ask and answer questions about the stories. Each Fairy Tale story comes with a specific STEM challenge, too. For example, in 'The Three Little Pigs' STEM Challenge, the children will collaborate, plan, and design a strong house that the Wolf cannot blow down. Then, they will test the strength of their houses and redesign them if necessary. Afterwards, the children will reflect on their designs. Through creative play, these problem solving STEM kits will help the children develop important engineering concepts that will help them in the real world.
