With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of diverse books that will allow them to read independently and make connections to their own life.
Students will become better readers when they are exposed to texts that are relevant to them. My hope is that the books will continue to foster a community of life-longer learners no matter their social, economic, or academic background. I believe students will thrive when they have the necessary tools to not only be successful, but are relevant to them and their lives.
