I know that students come with different learning needs. I usually have a mixture of high readers with on grade and low readers. Therefore, I feel a great need to provide my students with books that they are able to read at their level. I believe that all students should learn how to read in the primary grades. With the use of level books, I can provide them with concrete materials that they can use at home or at school to practice reading. Whether our district decides to do partial in school learning or entirely long distance learning, I know that students will be able to use their level books to read to me. For example, students could read to me in small group settings at school or during small group scheduled Zoom meetings from home.
