Providing experiences for children to explore and understand their emotions and the emotions of others is imperative for social development. The feeling books and emotion mats will be used during Morning Meetings (in school or remote learning). Through their understanding of emotions they will be able to express themselves and read social cues of others. The teaching and celebration of diversity kits will allow exploration of individual similarities and differences during literature circles or recorded videos. Exploring how you feel and why you feel that way allows a child to grow and understand self and others.
