Students love creating art that they can engage with daily. During the block printing unit, students will be required to print their designs on fabric: towels, t-shirst, napkins, facemasks, etc. By interacting with their art on a day-to-day basis after they constructed it, they are reminded of their experience creating it
Unlike other 2-D art forms (like drawing and painting), these block prints will teach students how much effort and nurturing goes into production design of objects used every day. Block printing is a multi-step art process that teaches students tactile skills, patience and creativity!
