Our science students will be inspired by how a 16-year old student's intrigue with HeLa cells eventually leads to uncovering the scandalous discovery, use, and business of Henrietta Lack's cells that are still used in medical research today that could lead to a COVID-19 vaccine! Our students will be riveted to this relevant nonfiction page-turner exposing the history of experimentation on African Americans! Our students will reflect and discuss the history of bioethics. If students cannot drop by to pick up their copy to borrow, it will be mailed directly to them.
