My classroom has always been community-centered, from collaboration to sharing supplies! Even though my classroom will look a little differently this school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am determined to keep it community centered! This year my students will be unable to share materials and will be at their desks more than usual. Because of this, I am seeking tools for students to better organize their materials. Once fully funded, each student will have a pencil box, book box, and a file box. Though students typically bring their own pencil boxes, I am asking for larger ones for crayons, scissors, dry erase markers, and highlighters as their regular boxes fill up fast! Typically these supplies would be shared and located around the room for students to grab and go, but that will not be possible this year. I am also requesting book boxes and file boxes so that students can keep all books, folders, notebooks, etc. contained in one spot that limits contact between other students and limits distractions at their desks. I know these tools will help our classroom stay organized so that we can remain our community centered classroom despite all of the changes this school year will bring!
