The pandemic has forced us to look at our classrooms in a new way. In order to provide a safe place for children to learn, we need to adjust not only our physical space but how we ask children to interact during the school day.
Being outside is one of the safest choices for ourselves and our students; we want to create engaging and comfortable learning spaces for them. We will place the soft seats intentionally, creating a distanced class meeting area under the shade of our Crepe Myrtle trees. The trays will allow children to keep track of their own materials and supplies during lessons outside. We can continue to create art together with our new clear painting wall and paint supplies.
Children need to get back to school to continue learning socially, emotionally, and academically. Creating this space outside will allow all of us to be together safely!
