We are beginning the school year at home, this means students need all of their learning materials at home. While our district will provide basics, there are a few extras that will better support at home learning. The boxes will serve as "cubbies" at home for students to keep all of their supplies together in one place. The play doh supports students' fine motor skills while helping them learn letter/number formation. Last, the counters are a great way for students to learn counting strategies and develop a number sense.
Hands on materials are key in kindergarten. Even though we are learning from home, that does not negate the fact that students need these types of materials to learn in a developmentally appropriate and engaging manner.
