My students often use individual white boards for math and during other learning activies. Our current white boards are so old they are scratched and permanently stained. We also did not receive some of our supply order at the beginning of the year. We normally use pastels for art and markers for a number of projects (markers stand out very well on a final draft). Unfortunately, neither arrived this year. I've also asked for more fraction tiles. Fractions are super challenging for students to learn and a big standard in 4th grade.
