This year, we will meet 5 days a week in the traditional school setting of both large and small groups throughout each day. More importantly, it is children in the first grade that do not have a full understanding of Covid-19 and social distancing. Therefore, I would like to make sure I provide my kiddos with a clean and healthy environment as best as I can.
This year, I am asking for items to help my students' social distance and stay as healthy as possible while learning. The flexible seating will allow me to spread my students throughout the classroom. Giving them the social distancing guidelines that would help slow the spread of any viruses. The air purifier will also help keep the air clean of any viruses. The sneeze guards will allow me to continue my small groups while keeping the students separated as best as possible. The face masks with a clear mouth covering will help not only protect myself and students from the spread of the virus but also help with the teaching of phonics lessons. It is important that students of first grade hear and see how the sounds are annunciated. A few other items needed throughout the school year are disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer. These items have been extremely hard to get our hands on due to the high command.
I truly appreciate the help and my students will greatly benefit from these donations during these trying times.
