In our Title 1 school, many families do not have the means to purchase hands-on items when students are learning from home. COVID has had an extreme impact on all students in my class. The books, flash cards, and science materials can be checked out by the student and taken home during distance learning days. Students yearn to participate through hands-on learning, but they do not have the resources in their home environment. I want all students to have the opprotunity to learn through distance learning. This is a book in their hand, a manipulative that they can use, or an experiment that they can perform.
