I have chosen books that teach kindness and acceptance. I hope the messages in these books help my students discover that these lessons apply to all aspects of life not just our classroom. For example, one of the books chosen is Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon. Molly doesn't look like every one else but with the help of someone special she gains confidence. Many of these books are award winning selections. I want my students to be exposed to well written and illustrated materials. I want them to love books and reading and make it a life long habit.

About my class
