As a speech and language pathologist I will be seeing students in groups, as well as, in one on one sessions throughout the school year when possible. I want to ensure I have done everything I can to keep my students safe while returning to the classroom for speech therapy this year.
By helping me fund this project, you will ensure that I am able to provide my students with everything they need to stay healthy and reduce the spread of Covid-19 while in my classroom. My school is currently operating under Plan B, we will have students in the building and operate at 50% capacity when possible. I know this plan could continue to change as the needs of our parents, students, and staff change while we adapt to new protocols.
Although, some of my students will be virtual this year, I will be continuing to test students to ensure we have accurate data and information for their Individualized Education Plans. These plans support their ability to access instruction and participate within their classroom for both in person and virtual instruction. I will be scheduling students to come in one at a time for these assessments. The addition of these few items to my classroom will allow me to bring these students in to a clean, well ventilated environment, and take every precaution possible.
Please consider supporting my speech and language students this year as we navigate a challenging year ahead!
