COVID-19 has affected classes in secondary schools dramatically, but perhaps none more than choir. Singing is inherently high-risk due to the greater generation of air-suspended droplets and aeresols. Because of this, rehearsal is being moved outdoors into the space between two large buildings (see my classroom photo).
Having a portable electric keyboard that is easy to move will make outdoor practice and performance possible.
Additionally, a keyboard with updated technology will enable me to more quickly and easily create practice tracks for students to use online. This will be essential if the mode of instruction moves to online-only as it did this spring.
