These materials will help as I teach from home because they are physical objects that the students can see and be used as read alouds, as I am not able to let them hold them at the moment! Students still need exposure to these materials rather than me drawing them or using online features! I believe that my students would be so happy to see materials that are familiar to them, and that helped them to learn in the classroom, as they do not have access to them at home! I am able to teach the students verbally and use these objects in recorded video to break down each problem that I am solving.
This global pandemic is not going to affect my students' knowledge and learning negatively, because with these materials I will be able to draw back in familiar learning tools that the students had access to every day before this pandemic. I am going to make sure that the students are still working with these tools and reading about life science, physical science, and so much more! I believe that these materials are crucial to my students' learning because they need to practice reading comprehension while also learning about so many interesting science topics like animals that they should be regularly.
