Rebuilding this band program is a personal goal of mine. I am product of the program and I want to give the students the opportunity to learn and enjoy music like I have. The legacy of musicianship has been lost to this program and I would like to bring it back. The items I am looking for will take care of the shortcomings of the students who cannot other wise afford instruments. The drum pads will help beginning percussion students have something to practice on in class and at home.
The other items are for students to learn instrument maintenance and care for the instruments they are being issued from the school.
I want to give the students an outlet that has otherwise not been here for them.
This school year has already been challenging with the COVID 19 closings, virtual learning, and coming in to a building with no students has made it overwhelming, but the kids still deserve an opportunity to learn to play an instrument whether it is face to face or virtually. These supplies will help them get started.
