This year has been challenging for everyone and will continue to be this school year. With new regulations in schools, more supplies are needed to help students learn. This project will help my students get the supplies they need to safely learn in the classroom. We will be creating individual station folders with the sheet protectors to make it easier for students to participate in the different stations during math and reading. These folders will require individual supply bags since students cannot share materials at this time.
Kindergartners love using hands on materials to engage them in their learning. The spinners and dice will allow them to play many different games in both reading and math. The magnetic letters will allow the Kindergartners to practice matching and identifying letters as well as building words. The whisper phones allow students to read out loud to themselves without disturbing others. The PlayDoh gives students an opportunity to build letters, words, numbers, etc. as well as build fine motor skills. The sit spots will help everyone stay in their area and socially distance from each other. The lanyards, command hooks, and baskets will offer a place for masks when they are not being worn.
Without these materials, my students will not have adequate resources to participate in reading and math stations as well as socially distance properly from each other.
