I would love to increase the amount of diverse books in my classroom library. These books would be used as interactive read alouds. We would have discussions while we were reading these books. It is important for students to see themselves represented in books. I want them to feel valued and appreciated. It is also imperative that students learn about others that are different from them to develop empathy and compassion. I strive to create an inclusive classroom. These books will help me do so. They would be used during remote learning as well as in the classroom when we return.

About my class
