I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching students with disabilities at home, and that my students would be learning new material through Zoom, Teach Town, Microsoft Team video conferencing calls and recorded home videos. The laptop will ensure that I remain in contact with my students and it will serve as a tool that I can use during Zoom lessons, Teach Town, and Microsoft Team classes to go over material easily and to display hands-on activities and audio reading during lessons. My amazing students have been working incredibly hard using the assignments that I have given them with Zoom instruction, Microsoft Team, YouTube, and Audible Stories. However, my learners would benefit greatly from me having a laptop with sound and video capabilities to record video messages, reading passages, and lessons for them. My exceptional special education students and I will benefit from audiobooks, read-aloud assistance and translation assistance immensely by having a laptop in order for me to continue our daily Individualized Education Program for each of my students.
