The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards give me the freedom to find curriculum resources that will engage my students and their interests. They ensure that I can get materials that their individual levels and meet them where they are as learners. Using Teacher Pay Teachers ensures that I can keep changing up what I use and my students aren't overexposed and bored. I often. Use Teachers Pay Teachers for leveled reading resources and to supplement math curriculum. Through using various leveled reading resources, I can pick and choose items that are motivating and engaging to my students, which then helps them grow as readers. Supplementing our math curriculum helps me provide more engaging centers that give students extra practice on concepts. The supplemental curriculum also provides the opportunity to challenge students who need it and fill in gaps for others.
Being part of an urban and diverse district ensures that all my students are different. These books give my students opportunities to see themselves in the stories that will be used during read alouds to strengthen values and ideas, such as the importance of kindness and that we are a family within our classroom. Students are more likely to engage in stories they can connect to and because of that I want my classroom library to be as diverse as I can make it.
