When we transitioned to online learning this past Spring, it became very apparent that many of our students lacked basic art supply at home. This supply will be distributed to 150 high school students enrolled in a visual art class (9 different classes/3 different art teachers).
The sketchbooks will be used as their primary surface for assignments. The rulers will assist our intro level art students with learning perspective drawing, and the watercolors and color pencils will aid in learning color theory. The art kits will also have scissors and glue for mixed media assignments. Should we return to the classroom before the end of this year, these materials will continue to be used by the individual students - avoiding having to share classroom materials (i.e. not spreading germs).
