Help me provide scissors, glue sticks, colored pencils, dry erase markers, and pencil sharpeners to my students for distance learning throughout this school year. Our district begins the year online and there is a real possibility that other periods of distance learning will pop up over the course of the year.
In order to support our third-grade students and families during this trying time, we plan to create School To Home Learning Kits to distribute to each student in the first week of school.
These bags will be kept at the students' homes. Many students do not have basic materials at their homes to use on a daily basis. Parents are already purchasing school supplies that will be needed in the classroom and we do not want to place an additional burden on them.
We are hoping this can ease the stress for children, families, and teachers during this pandemic. Having ready access to hands-on tools will help allow for success for all. Learning CAN happen anywhere!
