The majority of my students reside in cramped apartments and small homes, oftentimes sharing common living spaces with many family members. This kind of living situation doesn't usually lend itself to a quiet, student-centered environment.
My students need a way to drown out the noise at home in order to focus during distance learning. During Zoom meetings, my preschoolers often can't hear me or their classmates due to excessive background noise. A set of headphones would allow my students the ability to listen during our Zoom meetings together, without the outside distractions that often interfere with participation and engagement. This much-needed equipment will ensure that my students receive an equal opportunity for success during this challenging time.
