My school partners with TCU on the LiiNK project. The LiiNK project strives to bridge the gap between academic content and the social and emotional well-being of children. A big part of the program is allowing students an ample amount of time to engage in free play, which leads to students developing independent thinking and problem solving skills as well as healthy minds and bodies.
With these materials, I will be able to provide my students with opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills through play and imagination. These hands-on and interactive STEM learning materials will give my students ways to be creative and build resilience. They will have the opportunity to work on communication skills as they work on projects with their classmates.
My students will be able to use these materials throughout the day - morning meetings, indoor recess times, choice board activities, and connections to curricular content in multiple subject areas.
