In the remote art studio, young artists will develop Studio Habits to think and act like artists. Artists will complete skill builders, brainstorm, and plan their original art work in their visual journals. They will be able to reflect back on previous ideas as well as reference art techniques as they work on their own art.
Artists feel proud when they can see evidence of their learning - visual journals will give artists a place to explore art techniques, record new ideas, and document their growth! Remote learning provides a unique opportunity for students to authentically learn and think like artists. A visual journal will allow artists to create a bank of art resources at their fingertips even though they are not physically in the art classroom studio.
Even though we will not physically be together, all students will be able to work together in their visual journal during our virtual studio time and easily share ideas by uploading photos from their visual journals.
