Picture books are wonderful teaching tools for students. They provide stories that help students develop connections and understanding of complex concepts and issues.
In our classroom, we use picture books in a variety of different ways. They provide a great way to introduce new topics such as figurative language, story elements, and making inferences. They are also an important part of our daily classroom meetings. Picture books address a variety of issues that we often discuss as a class. Social emotional growth, empathy, friendship, kindness, and diversity are all examples of topics within the books we read together.
By donating to our project, you will help to provide my class with a variety of different picture books to facilitate discussion and learning within our classroom. My goal is to have a picture book a day for the entire year.
