The document camera will allow me to demonstrate various labs that are typically completed in a classroom environment. I will use the document camera during synchronous and asynchronous sessions. The supplies will be used for different units in Biology: Cells, Photosynthesis, and Cellular Respiration labs and activities.
Students will be able to engage in the lesson, ask questions, select variables, and collect real data; rather than always having to do virtual simulations that are less meaningful.
My goal as a science educator in a virtual, distance learning environment is to still bring these lab and hands-on experiences to the students. I want to still elicit their curiosity, creativity, and analyses of real world data.
