This was the first year I had trouble coming up with what would be necessary for my classroom since it is constantly changing. With that in mind, my focus was to create an organized classroom with a ton of new books to excite my students. As a 9th grade English teacher, I wanted to make sure that I researched the best book series for this age group and the current best-selling young adult novels. I also reached out to former students so that they could tell me some of their favorites to add to my list. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card is the perfect tool to assist me with this year if we stay online for a while. This website has amazing resources that will help to make this year both exciting and interactive. With such uncertain times, I want to make sure that my classroom has everything it needs to keep my students focused and motivated. Of course, in order to keep my room safe and clean, I have added masks, sanitizer, and tissues to my list.
