The materials I have selected will take the students I work with to the next level of learning in the world of coding and maker spaces. The students will problem solve, use their creative and critical thinking skills in every step of this.
The engagement level of using these materials will be NON STOP! The Micro BIts sets are a fundamental circuitry and coding system. The students will set their code and simulate their code and activity on the web version first. To actually SEE it on the MicroBit will test their code and just WOW them. The MeowBits lets old style arcade games be coded on the web version and tested on the simulator. When sent to MeowBit the coded game can be played! Batteries are needed for the devices. Extra pencils are needed under the current situation of limited to no sharing of devices. Students will plan out their code/end result on paper and an end reflection will be expected to be completed. They will also give feedback on other student projects. The storage containers or for organizational and separating the various units for easier access.
